Do I need a Doctors referral?
No you can self refer.
What happens in a typical physio session?
You will join your son or daughter throughout their initial appointment and treatment. With your consent we will take an electronic record of your child’s personal details and medical history prior to a physical examination. We work over one layer of clothing and would advise that loose fitting clothes or shorts are worn.
What facilities do you have?
We currently have 2 clinics based in Ayr and Hampden Stadium, in Glasgow. We have arranged access to the training pool and gym facilities at Hampden. We can arrange home, school or nursery visits if preferred.
Do you provide a report of my childs assessment or treatment outcomes?
Yes this can be provided but will incur an additional fee.
Can I use my private healthcare?
You may reclaim your fees subject to terms and conditions of your personal medical cover.
We advise you contact your insurers to check if you require a referral or can self-refer.
What if I need to cancel my appointment?
Please notify Kids Physio Scotland on 07913219606 or info@kidsphysioscotland.co.uk if you need to cancel. You will be charged the full cost of your treatment session for any cancellation made less than 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Please arrive on time to gain your full allocated slot.
Can I supplement my childs' NHS physio with additional private sessions from yourselves?
Yes, we like to work with agreed shared goals between family, ourselves and the NHS treating therapist. We find this encourages your child to optimally progress with their therapy. We seek your consent prior to sharing any information between Education services and NHS provision.
